Diaval is our expert brand in the chemical and mining industry. Diaval diaphragm valves stand out for their high corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance, making them a very versatile and economical solution for a multitude of scenarios.
Types of Diaval valves:
Weir type
This is the most versatile and widely used version of Diaval’s valves, which stands out for its resistance to extremely corrosive liquids thanks to the application of fluoropolymer linings, that can only be produced in such a valve design. These versions are specially designed to handle very critical and hazardous applications, making Diaval a perfect solution for most of your applications.
We recommend the use of weir type valves with all type of liquids, but also highly concentrated chemicals such as sulphuric, hydrochloric or nitric acid, among others. As well as in a wide range of applications in chemical plants, fertilizers plants, steel mills, water treatment plants…
Straight through
The straight through version is used in more specific situations, when abrasion and corrosion are combined together. The straight through design allows a straight path to the media reducing therefore the effect of abrasion of the solid particles, like in mud or slurries, or reducing both the pressure drop and jamming pipes risk when operating with very viscous media like resins or glues among others.
Diaval Straight Through type valves are highly recommended for the use in Phosphoric acids, and handling slurries and muds most commonly found in Fertilizers industry, and most of the mining applications.
