Anti-surge tanks represent one of the most effective and versatile means of providing protection at pumping stations. This is because they allow the introduction of flow during pump failure thus limiting the rate of acceleration/deceleration that occurs in the pipe in case of pump trip. The illustration below shows our typical anti surge tank system installed at a common sewage water pumping station, the core part of the system is integrated by the AVAST tank, installed without the need if any check valves, by-pass and restrictions otherwise necessary for air vessels with compressors and different solutions. The System is completed with additional devices such as check valves, isolating gate valves and air valves as well as rubber expansion joints for the pump outlet. We are providing all system components for a fast and reliable installation at the plant in accordance with the dimensions engineered by our technical department.
