Sewage pumping stations often incorporate submersible pumps, where high spots in the pipes and changes in slope can cause entrapped air and water hammer events.
Air valves must be placed strategically around the system and for pumping station in particular the anti-hammer technology, at CSA available with AS and RFP design, is critical due to the rapid flow and severe working environment the product is supposed to work with.
A suggested installation is depicted above where compact CSA anti hammer SCA 2” air valves are located before the check valves, followed by the high capacity line anti hammer (SCA) and air vented anti surge tank, to ensure a reliable protection against surge events.
-The CSA split body design makes the maintenance process quick and easy for operators
-Threaded outlet is available for odour control piping
-Isolation valves should be fitted for the maintenance
-The PN 16 rating of the body, with internals in stainless steel guarantees for high resistance and long lasting reliable performances
