At Comeval Valve Systems<\/a>, we remain committed to technical training<\/strong> as part of our overall commitment. With this in mind, on 12 March<\/strong> we held a theoretical and practical workshop<\/strong> at our premises for our customers, focusing on training in the use, selection, operation and maintenance of equipment related to water consumption and distribution.<\/strong>
\nDuring the workshop, attendees were able to take part in various technical sessions and practical demonstrations led by industry specialists.<\/p>\n

Gate valves<\/h2>\n

\"gate_valves_\"<\/p>\n

The first part of the session was led by our technical director, Javier Gal\u00e1n, who gave a technical presentation on gate valves and their main features. During his presentation, he covered topics such as spring-loaded gate valves, quality certificates, protection and coating systems, nominal pressures, and the motorisation options<\/strong> available for this type of valve.<\/p>\n

Electric actuators<\/h2>\n

The day then continued with a session dedicated to electric actuators, during which equipment from manufacturers such as Auma<\/a> and Bernard Controls<\/a> was examined. This session covered their main technical specifications, installation recommendations and some of the recurring issues that may arise during the installation or operation of these systems<\/strong>, as well as best practices for their maintenance.<\/p>\n

CSA Air Valves<\/h2>\n

The discussion then turned to CSA<\/a> air valves , with an explanation of the various models available and their applications. These included traditional air valves, plastic air valves specially designed for wastewater, and solutions tailored for desalination plants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit to the workshop and hydrostatic test<\/h2>\n

\"hydrostatic<\/p>\n

Following the theoretical sessions, attendees visited the workshop at our premises to gain a first-hand insight into some of our work processes. During the tour, a practical demonstration was also carried out in the form of a hydrostatic test on one of our valve<\/strong>s, allowing participants to observe the control and verification procedures that ensure the quality and reliability of our equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The impact of zebra mussels and Asian clams on irrigation networks<\/h2>\n

\"zebra<\/p>\n

The event continued in the afternoon with a talk given by Manolo Soriano (C.R. Lorca<\/a>), who explained how invasive species such as the zebra mussel and the Asian clam affect the functioning of irrigation networks<\/strong>. During his presentation, he examined the problems these species cause to water infrastructure<\/strong>, such as blockages and reduced efficiency in the systems.<\/p>\n

Butterfly valves<\/h2>\n

To round off the day, our Water Business Developer, Luca Garofalo, presented the butterfly valve solutions available in our catalogue. During his presentation, he examined various models, such as the double-eccentric butterfly valve, the double-flanged butterfly valve and the wafer-type butterfly valve<\/strong>, explaining their differences, applications, quality standards, certifications and positioning compared to other solutions on the market<\/strong>.
