On many occasions, this is a dilemma plant engineers have to face up; whilst both sort of valves are used on relatively same duty: isolating lines, there are slight benefits on the side of triple offset butterfly valves along the introduction of new face to face designs compatible to the same length than some gate valves line. Therefore, when would we recommend the direct replacement of Gate Valves by TOBVs? \u2013 a good rule is whenever we need a bidirectional bubble tight metal sealing and valve size is equal or larger than DN 200. The use of ARI ZETRIX\u00ae given this case is a guarantee of the former and presents easier handling to plant contractors and operators.<\/p>\n
